²⁴ The dead who belong to Ahab in the city the dogs will eat, and the dead in the country the birds of the air will eat.”

²⁵ There had never been anyone like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, incited by his wife Jezebel. ²⁶ He committed obscene acts by following filthy idols, like everything that the Amorites had done, for which the Lord drove them out before the people of Israel.
